Douglas C. Pileri serves as Chief of Market Transformation for SIVOTEC Analytics. In that position, he plays an integral role in all aspects of strategic business and brand development, helping to drive business growth, value creation, and competitive advantage through the innovative use of integrated data and advanced analytics.
In an international career that spans more than thirty years, Mr. Pileri has built a reputation for applying visionary leadership, energizing and inspiring workforces, and integrating business discipline with the creative application of technology. In multiple senior leadership positions, he has built an enduring record of success in some of the world’s great companies -- IBM, Thomson, and Kodak – and in Freedom Partners, one of the country’s most successful policy-influencing organizations.
As Executive Vice President with Freedom Partners Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Pileri introduced and operationalized, value-creating discipline in a nonpartisan political policy-activating network for change. In that position, he brought results-based thinking to strategy-development, goal-setting, and decision-making. He served as mentor, role model, and senior manager to unit leaders, building capacity and capability to achieve network goals aligned with the organization’s culture, framework, and vision.
In nine years at IBM, as Vice President for Global Process Services and as Vice President for Customer Delivery Excellence, Mr. Pileri managed all aspects of service delivery operations for IBM’s customer service sites in North America – including leading the process to fully transform the management of customer relations. His responsibilities included a full gamut of activities – from capacity planning to operational standardization, and from supplier and client management to delivery capability growth. Mr. Pileri had P&L responsibility for $170 million in annual service revenue and personnel responsibility for 10,000 professionals in three countries.
At Thomson, Mr. Pileri served for more than four years as the company’s Chief E-Business Officer and Global Vice President for Customer Loyalty Services. In those roles, he established and led Thomson’s worldwide e-Business transformation to improve operational efficiencies and effectiveness and build profitable, long-term competitive best-in-class offerings. He had responsibility for a 1000-member worldwide service organization that provided a full range of customer support – from warranty service through sale of complementary products and accessories.
In a wide-ranging 20-year career at Eastman Kodak Company, Mr. Pileri defined, established and led a unique start-up business unit as Worldwide General Manager of Themed Entertainment. He served as the Chief E-Business Officer and Director of Business Development for Kodak’s Entertainment Imaging unit identifying profitable new opportunities and conceptualizing and implementing an e-business vision, investment strategy, and plans to transform Kodak into a successful e-services provider to the industry. And as Director of Strategic Planning and Business Development for Digital and Applied Imaging in Europe, he led the design, development, and implementation of new Kodak product and systems ideas for business growth in the European digital consumer marketplace.
Mr. Pileri has been a keynote speaker at international conventions and has been featured in a cover story of CIO Magazine. His university speech, “How to Outwit Your Global Future,” has been broadcast on National Public Radio. He is Vice Chairman of the National Board of ‘Music for All’ and serves on other boards. Mr. Pileri has been awarded two patents; and he has an MBA from the Simon Graduate School of Business, University of Rochester. He received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
